Durability Duel

Five 3-wound models on a 2+ save, or four 4-wound models on a 3+ with −1 to wound? Edit either unit and see how many hits it takes to wipe each one.

04How it's calculated

The wound roll comes from Strength against Toughness. The −1 to wound adds one to the roll needed, capped at 6+, so an unmodified 6 still wounds. The save used is the better of the armour save after AP and the invulnerable save.

Damage doesn't spill over between models. Each model's expected number of failed saves to die comes from an exact calculation over the damage roll, including Feel No Pain on each point of damage. Multiply by model count, then divide by the chance that one attack becomes a failed save.

All results are averages, not dice simulations. Rules not modelled: Sustained Hits, Devastating Wounds, Twin-linked, re-rolls, Melta range bonuses, damage reduction and cover.
